CSG3
Corso San Gottardo 3, Milano
The project involves the reconfiguration and merging of two adjacent parcels, inside an old dairy factory, in Milan.
The starting point of this project was the linear development of the apartments along the external balcony of the building.
The connection of the two apartments was achieved by demolishing a masonry partition wall that separated the units.
The project continued with the replacement and reinforcement of the old screed. Subsequently, work was done on a simplified planimetric system, in which a service block filters the passage between two directly communicating environments. As in other projects, all the services were contained within the new plasterboard partitions, in order to avoid any impact on the new slab.

The demolition of the dividing wall between the two apartments was an opportunity to expand the old living room and to give dignity to the old kitchen, located in an alcove at the end of the corridor. Here, with the support of a valid and trusted craftsman, we designed an articulated volumetric machine that connects the kitchen to the living room in an even more fluid way, underlining the importance and centrality of these spaces in the new project
of the house.

The horizontal and vertical surfaces of the bathrooms are coated with a spatula resin whose colors are a direct reference to the geographical roots of one of the Clients and the industrial origins of the building.
