The project involves the reconfiguration of the staircase void of a two-level apartment in Via Pasquale Lomazzo, in Milan.

The project stems from the request of the Clients to maximize the use of the available interior space without compromising its quality.

After a careful analysis of the apartment, we agreed on the necessity to replace the existing staircase with a more compact structure that would allow us increasing the floor area at the upper level.

The flooring of the new ribbed slab becomes the platform to host a small study room that defines its limits through the skillful use of the furniture elements.
